What are the terms of rental?

By renting an item from Common Closet, you agree to abide and comply by the terms and conditions outlined in the rental agreement.

  1. Booking and Payment:

To book an item, you must provide valid payment information and agree to pay the full rental fee, including a dry-cleaning fee of 5 KWD, delivery fees and any other applicable fees before the start of the rental duration. Additionally, you will need to pay a security deposit of 30 KWD to secure your booking that will cover any minor damages on the item. If the item is received without any damage, you will be refunded the full amount of the security deposit after your rental period is over.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the sufficient funds to replace lost or damage products up to the sum of the replacement value of each product. Do not rent a product unless you have the sufficient funds to cover the replacement value.

  1. Item Modification:

Users should not attempt to alter or modify the rented items in any way. This includes but is not limited to sewing, trimming, or making any alterations or permanent changes to the item.

  1. Late Returns:

Users must return the rented item by the agreed-upon return date and time. Unauthorized extensions and late returns will result in penalties and additional late fees. For each day the rental is late, an additional fee will be charged equivalent to the daily rate of the rental item.

  1. Loss or Damage

Users bear full responsibility for the items they rent and are accountable for any damages or losses that may occur during the rental period:

In the event of loss, damage beyond repair, or destruction of an item, you are liable for repair or replacement costs as determined by our assessment. Therefore, you authorize us to charge you the price for repairing or replacing the item, which may be up to the retail value.  

  1. Item Condition:

The items will be delivered to you in a clean and well-maintained condition. You are responsible for treating the item with care during the rental period and returning it in the same condition. Minor stains or wear resulting from normal use will be covered by the security deposit, however, excessive damage may incur additional charges.

  1. Fit Policy:

We offer detailed sizing information on our website for each dress available for rent and resale. Customers are encouraged to carefully review the sizing information and measurements provided before making a rental selection. However, we understand that there are occasions when items may not fit at expected or meet your preferences. This is why we are offering a “fit at home” service. With this service, customers have a 30-minute window to try on the dress in their own home. The price of the ‘fit at home’ service is 5 KD. If the dress fits, you will ONLY be charged the rental fees, including delivery and dry-cleaning. If it doesn't fit, we will issue a full refund, minus the ‘fit at home’ service fee.

What is the rental delivery policy?
  1. Delivery Options

The standard cost of delivery is 2 KD. We offer same day delivery for orders placed before 5 pm. Orders placed after 5 pm will be delivered next day. If you need an item urgently, please contact us directly on WhatsApp. 

  1. Delivery Date and Time

The customer has an option to choose their delivery date and time. The minimum rental duration is 2 days.

  1. Delivery Address:

You must provide a valid and secure delivery address where the item can be received during the specified delivery window. We are not responsible for any issues arising from incorrect or incomplete delivery information. If you need to update your delivery address, please contact us as soon as possible.

What if I need to change my rental dates/time?

If you need to change the rental dates, please contact our customer support team via WhatsApp (+965 65948333) or email (commoncloset.kw@gmail.com) with your order details as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate date changes based on item availability.

What is the rental cancellation policy?

We understand that sometimes plans change. We strive to provide our customers with flexibility while ensuring the availability of our items for all.

Customers may cancel their dress rental order for a full refund up to 48 hours before their rental period starts and before the scheduled delivery date/time.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled delivery date will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the entire rental cost.  

What is the buying delivery policy?

We aim to deliver your items within 1-2 business days of placing the order and there will be a delivery fee of 2 KD.

What is the buying cancelling policy?

Customers may cancel their purchase order at any time before the shipment has been dispatched. After the item is delivered, all sales are final, and we do not accept returns.

How to request a cancellation?
